My Reconnective Healing Experience

Although it was only recently that I had done the Reconnective Healing practitioner course, I had been playing with the frequencies ever since I became exposed to it, about 6 years ago.

Each time I play with it, different occurrences happen, and with different people. I found that the most effective method of doing it is doing it in awe, in wonder, in a sense of being without expectations. An example was when we brought my son into emergency when he fell off a kitchen benchtop. Since we were waiting, and he was feeling uncomfortable, I thought I’d try to heal him with RH. He surprised me when he said, “Cold” as I was waving my hands around. I didn’t know what it meant, but, just before he was discharged, one of the registrars thought it would be a good idea to conduct an x-ray on him and that was when he found out he had completely broken a bone in his arm. We were thankful that an x-ray was done, despite the fact that he wasn’t crying as the other doctors and nurses would have expected a child with broken bone to cry when they move his arm!

As for my personal experience with have RH done on myself, and having done it on other people, I find that healings tend to occur spontaneously or almost immediately when we are willing to let go of anything that we have been holding on, particularly on a subconscious level. That is how I feel that RH is different to other modes of energy or alternative healing. Whilst other modes of healing requires the healer to diagnose what they think is wrong with the patient and then treat the person through their diagnosis, RH works when no one is diagnosed with anything. In fact, it works better when the practitioner knows nothing about the client’s condition. As Solomon (from “Solomon Speaks”) said:

“Once you allow your soul, that egoless purity, to come through, it is a common denominator that has the ability to automatically fuse with the frequency of the person for whom you’re facilitating the healing. Your job in this process is to strip away the defences; strip away the mind; strip away the control mechanisms. Let them go! Let them be a part of an exterior that has nothing to do with you. That energy is the common universal language of the cosmos. It is understood immediately and is felt intrinsically.”

The ego is within the healer when he or she diagnoses somebody, when the healer thinks that they are correct, whether it is because of past experience or anything else that he or she has come across. However, with our limited ability on this plane, who are we to determine what is the best course of action for the patient?

Don’t get me wrong, I believe that energy healing methods and alternative methods which directly treat the pain or discomfort may actually better in helping the person to overcome their dis-ease in the “immediate” sense. However, I feel that in order for true healing to occur, the client or the patient is the one who needs to truly let go of all the fear and negative beliefs that they may have held on to over time. It is the other person who needs to heal themselves. It may take some time, depending on the client. It may not happen either, if the person completely refuses to let go.

Another example of how RH helped me was when there were massive redundancies going on at my workplace, and within my section and branch. On the superficial (conscious) level, I kept telling myself and those around me, “I’ll be fine. Whatever happens, happens for the better.” However, when I woke up one morning, dreaming about redundancies, something told me that although I was telling myself one thing, my subconscious was telling me something else. I made an appointment to see a RH practitioner soon after the experience. The session was not as eventful as my Reconnection sessions, but I still saw images and colours during the session. Towards the end of the session, it was as if Hermine had lifted a major burden off my heart and chest area and I breathed a very deep sigh of relief after the dense energy was lifted away. It was sore when she was lifting it away, and I felt so much lighter after that. I can safely say that I haven’t dreamt about redundancies since. I felt that it was my willingness to let go (on a deep level) which resulted in the instantaneous healing that I experienced.

I also played with the frequencies when my grandfather had issues walking several years ago, when he was still alive. I thought I’d try it out (no harm, right?) whilst he allowed me to just wave my hands around. He even jokingly called them “magic hands” there and then. About a week or two later, I found out that he was walking around his fruit and vegetable garden, the first time he had really walked around the house in months!

Quoting Anita Moorjani from her book, “Dying to be Me”:

“I’m at my strongest when I’m able to let go, when I suspend my beliefs as well as disbeliefs, and leave myself open to all possibilities. That also seems to be when I’m able to experience the most internal clarity and synchronicities. My sense is that the very act of needing certainty is a hindrance to experiencing greater levels of awareness. In contrast, the process of letting go and releasing all attachment to any belief or outcome is cathartic and healing. The dichotomy is that for true healing to occur, I must let go of the need to be healed and just enjoy and trust in the ride that is life.”
